I Am A Christian
It's unpopular to claim your faith these days, if you are a Christian. We are supposed to be accomodating of others, just don't mention your own. I listened to Muslims expouse their views for a solid hour, nobody said a word. I am the only one that spoke of my Christianity. I'm accused of pushing my beliefs on others. Now I'm holier than thou. Everytime I profess or stand on behalf of my faith. That doesn't mean, I'm ready to take on the sins of the world. People hold Christians to a higher standard. We are human too. We just know that we're not perfect. Not even close, on our best days. The difference in a sinner and a Christian. The Christian isn't sinless, he just sins less.
This is a poem sent to me by another Christian. It was timely to me, maybe it will help you too.

My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

There are many people who profess to know Christ who are actually saying no, to Christ. I didn't hear the show because I was so hurt for being let go because of political favors for Thomas Long, that it has been difficult for me to listen. Besides, Dorothy is not an informed or enlightened talk show host. In fact she's just a mouth behind a mike, which doesn't make a talkshow host.

WLOK will do anything for money. They broadcast Louis Farakahn and Wallace Muhammad both, and they're supposed to be a Christian station. Both of them are warring Muslims. Even they have different doctrines. They preach about each other. Dorothy doesn't know enough to host a show,and argues like she is well read. I stopped listening to her after the He adoption trial, she took Emma Devines place one weekend. She didn't even know the stuff written in the newspaper. I haven't listened to WLOK since Janis, and I stopped listening to her.She is so submerged in the Democratic party, she lets her biases cloud her reasoning. Even though she put the dogs on me everyday, I still love her anyway. The only show I listen to for politics is Andrew Clarksenior on Saturday and Sunday. He calls it down the middle like me. We're kind of like you and me, We agree on most things. I think he's a good man. Even when we disagree.

Like Bishop before me. I wonder if it's you. We have so many infiltrators, you understand.What seat did I tell you, you should run for? I was disappointed when you weren't appointed. If it's not, you sound just like her. Whether you are or not, you're welcome anyway. Don't be hurt, just do better next time. As I'm sure there will be, a next time.You must be careful who you associate with. Perception is everything, to some people. It even means a lot to me, but not everything.

I don't love President Bush anymore, than I love anyone else. I do admire him though. I think that he's right more times than he's wrong. Many times I understand how he feels. When you're doimg the right thing, and everybody is against you. As a Conservative Black Independent. I sometimes feel like that way. President Bush will look a whole lot better after he's gone. YOU DON'T MISS YOUR WATER UNTIL YOUR WELL RUNS DRY.

yes, i am! do i sin and continue to beg for, forgivness, absolutely. as you probably know, i am of the flesh, and sinning was in me before my mom and dad even knew one another. the flesh, is weak, therefore, i fight to keep my spirit strong. everyday for me is a journey, i dont try to guide my own way, i leave that up to my big brother, Jesus. during my journey, i am always fighting to constantly be obedient to my Fathers word. i know that you are a christian, thanks for asking me or being concerned about my spritual welfare. youre doing just what God wants us to do. be ambassadors for christ, i could be wrong but i think that comes from the book of corithians, my husband did a meditation on that once. isnt that wonderful to know, that God, enjoys that we tell all of his business.
