I Say Let Him Go

I figured they would use his semi-success to try and justify giving him a raise. In case everyone has forgotten. He didn't win the National championship, like he promised when we first signed him. We won the NIT, an invitation we refused under Larry Finch. The winningest coach the university has ever had. He went to the elite eight and lost. To a better coach in my estimation. Everytime it comes down to coaching, we always lose. The teams success had nothing to do with his coaching skills. He had the necessary horses. I could have won with those players, if I was coach. I have always felt, he was over paid. He isn't worth the price we're paying him. If it were left up to me. I would say let him go. See what I said earlier:

  1. Bishop,

Are you and me the only ones who recognize this? Here we are negotiating a new contract for Calipari. When Finch can't even afford Health Insurance. He had to file a lawsuit to get his severance pay. Until they do right by Coach Finch, this program will always come up short.

  2. Anti-T,

This is just further fleecing of the community. He signed for 1.6 million which is more than he would have got if he left. The state of Tennessee, doesn't have a state tax. They are trying to raise money for his healthcare fund. He has had a couple of strokes. They've started this Blue Crush, made up of younger Calipari supporters. It seems to divert attention from the efforts of the original boosters.

He has taken the program to another level. He has the charisma that gets the program exposure. He signed a new five year deal.

Your opinion hasn't changed. This is what you said yesterday. I always hear you on the radio.
