Amber Alert Absent

I was hesitant to state my opinion on this matter. I didn't want to rush to judgement, without hearing the whole story. Good thing I didn't, now the baby has been found. I don't let my emotions lead me to assumptions. To make this a racial issue, is unoriginal at best. This case didn't meet the basic qualifications, for the Amber Alert. This child wasn't abducted, the mother gave the child away.

Below is the father's account of what happened. I guess it would be safe to say, the stories are contradicting at best. The mother's and father's that is, they don't agree. The father isn't totally innocent, in this ordeal either. If the mother hadn't called and told him, the child was missing. He probably wouldn't have known little 6-month Kimmarta Lawrence was gone. He should have been with his family anyway. Tago Holliman, the father of missing child, was passing out fliers in hopes of finding his son. The mother in question is four months pregnant now. Her and Mr. Holliman have a 17-month, in addition to the child they're expecting now. If Ms. Lawrence is so mentally unstable as he claims. Why does he continue to have children with her? Read his story below:

The MPD handled it well. I don't know what else they could have done.

  2. Cordova TN,

They followed the protocal. Much of the public outcry, is due to lack of understanding and knowledge, of the law.

  3. The did do their job and followed the law...the circumstances of the baby disappearance, did not apply to the rules for an Amber Alert.

Quick tempers, anger, hate, and lack of knowledge of the law from individuals fueled the fire of racisism.

I'm glad they found the baby. Do you think the young lady who took him out of state. Should be charged?

  5. Kevin,

I don't think the young lady should be charged. I think her intent was to commit a crime, she didn't get to follow through though.

  6. Let's do a little math here. The father is thirty-six years old, and the mother is nineteen. They have a 17-month old daughter. According to my calculations, she was a minor when they got together. Where was the alert then? No one has even brought this up, in all their complaints.
