As We Speak

I guess this is just beginning to register with some people. This major development concerning our nations economy, isn't first and foremost. Though undoubtedly it will have far reaching implications. Especially those depending on the labor market, for a living. Those jobs that can be done by others elsewhere, for a cheaper rate. I can't hold it against them. I only thought about it a month ago. Though the agreement was signed twelve years ago. It became more urgent to me, when they dedicated a new stretch of highway. Very close to where I live. I wrote a post about my concerns: http://indepcons.blogspot.com/2006/10/new-low-road.html. My opinion hasn't changed.

The problem is the American people are fickled. You can't have it both ways. The busiest store in the country is Walmart. The reason being, they have the lowest prices. If you look at the products on the shelves, 75% are foreign made. Every year the unionized American worker wants a raise. Yet when they go shopping, they still want a bargain. If every factory worker makes $20 hr., how can you keep a candy bar under a dollar? If the Mexican people would stay at home. That would boost our economy tremendously. If all the liberals moved to Canada, they would utilize free trade too. To see the overall picture. One would have to have a strong belief. Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. While we are complaining about what's inevitable. We have to look at the whole thing. This thing is happening as we speak.
