The Infamous E-Mail

Evidently something I said created a furor of sorts on "Let's talk about it" last Thursday night. I am critical of the sanitation department due to some of them not doing their jobs. One of the frequent callers (Michael) who obviously works for the sanitation department himself. Wants to paint this pretty picture of the job they're doing around the city. In spite of the dismal job they're doing, and contractural agreements, he thinks they still deserve a raise. BTW, they only work half a day. I don't know where he works, but I don't see it where I live. The department gets no sympathy from me. He claims I'm always talking negative, just because I'm right. This whole thing seems to have gotten started because I pointed out to Denise that she seems to turn a deaf ear to their misinformation. She put a spin on what I said as usual, whether by choice or unintentional. Below is a copy of the e-mail. Do you think I was being negative?

What does the fever have to do with the sanitation workers working half a day? That's just some weak excuse for why they aren't doing what they're supposed to do. It doesn't take but one person to dump the truck. I would rather pay him a little extra if necessary. In order for the rest of them to work a full day.Martin Luther King didn't come to Memphis for these new sanitation workers to half do their job. I remember when they went in your backyards and when they ran twice a week. Now they run once a week and you have to put the garbage on the curb.You might have to wait a month for the trash trucks to come. You put green limbs on the curb. By the time they pick it up, most of the leaves have dried up and blown away.Some of these jokers leave it nastier than it was before they came. As for the trucks leaking in front of my house. I assure you they won't be parking them in front of my house.The trucks rolling down the streets are leaking still. I guess they need to get off at 10 o'clock now. Are you that uninformed or do you need glasses? If you can't see that, glasses won't help though. This city in some places is nastier than it's ever been. Or are you just keeping up the pace of the show? You never seem to hold certain people to any proof. You let them ramble on and on about nothing.That guy calls your show every night and tells the same lie.You haven't challenged him yet. I pay property taxes and a light bill. Both of which pay his salary. The only research I need to do is see them picking up the trash.
