I wondered what the connection was between "congressman Steve Cohen" and former Olivett pastor "Kenneth Whalum". What could the congressman have done to get the retired minister to endorse him? His entire career has been devoted to causes a minister of the gospel should find offensive to say the least. Certainly not form the basis for a ongoing bond. After watching this video I understand Whalum's motivation. This is payback for selling his influence in the black community. Mr. Cohen has sponsored legislation to have the Third street Post Office renamed in his honor. H.R.2587 : To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 555 South 3rd Street Lobby in Memphis, Tennessee, as the "Kenneth T. Whalum, Sr. Post Office". Talk about stroking someones ego. This is even more proof of business as usual in the 9th district.
