Sloppy Seconds

Many of the same people behind the draft A.C. movement; after failing to convince him to run. Have now decided to endorse Herman Morris for city mayor. I was about to say he should feel betrayed by those who put him up to run to begin with. They had been awfully quiet as of late, leaving him out there hanging alone. They had all but written him and Carol Chumney off. John Willingham has never really been considered a factor. Though he is the lone Republican, not even by his own party. All efforts were focused on convincing A.C. Wharton to throw his hat in the ring. Some seem to think he could beat Herenton hands down. At least that's what they were saying. I think that's just wishful thinking. Herenton haters are willing to go for anything. What that would have done, is split up the vote. Allowing someone to win who wouldn't have otherwise had a chance.

Before I had a chance to say it, the long lost supporters had already come out of the woodwork. Bill Adkins and Lasimba Gray gave new life to the Morris campaign. Now they're giving press conferences in support of Herman Morris. Something is strange about this picture. Though Morris claims to be a Democrat. His support base are mostly Republicans. His campaign manager is on the Republican steering comittee. I think he is what you call a DINO, (Democrat in name only). I guess he has decided to take his help where he can get it from. Even to the point of taking sloppy seconds.

No one has taken the drug test but Mr. Morris.
