The Tax Cuts In Numbers

The tax plans

Obama - McCain
$227,000 - a year - plus
$23,000 more - $15,000 less

$112,000 - $227,000 (15% of population)
$2,300 less - $3,200 less

$66,000 - $112,000 (20% of population)
$1,290 less ($500 per worker tax credit for $0 to $150,000) - $1009 less

$38,000 - $66,000 (20% of population)
$1,042 less - $319 less

$19,000 - $38,000 (20% of population)
$892 less - $113 less

$0 - $19,000 (20% of population)
$567 less - $19 less

Tax breaks for all :

College credit: $4,000 a year per student in school (Obama)

Double dependent credit from $3500 to $7000 (McCain)

Barack Obama is telling the truth when he says he is giving a tax cut to 95% of all Americans. The problem is half of them don't pay any taxes anyway. Everybody is looking at their own pockets before making their decisions. What good is a tax cut when you don't have an income?

So he is going to pay people who more or less sit on there asses. I'm not saying it applies to all people but there is no way to tell who are the ones struggleing but trying and those that just sit on there asses waiting for a handout.

People who make large sums of money for the most part are working there tails off to succeed. If Obama is elected he will reward those that bust there ass to a huge tax increase and those that sit on there ass to a rebate check generally speaking

I say levy a flat tax with everyone paying the same percentage and let it go...

Barack Obama appealed to the selfishness of the American people. People say they're concerned with the economy. When really they're concerned with themselves. Where would a tax cut help the most? To a business owner who has employees, or a person who doesn't even work? I say don't work and not unemployed. There's a big difference. Even though the tax cuts are uneven. They initially benefit 60% of the American people.

I agree with the flat tax, but it will never happen. Too many jobs are dependent on the way it is now.

True. Both parties are in the pocket of the IRS.
