Better To Have It And Not Need It

I know times are bad, but not as bad as some people would have you think. I have always said one's perception is their reality. Today's annual free Thanksgiving dinner and free phone calls were proof. If you think you're having it hard you are. Even if it's really not that bad. There were more volunteers on hand this year than they had recipients. They had to turn volunteers away, but people in need of a meal and free health screenings were less than expected. All across the city, even in the blighted neighborhoods. People seemed to be in a spirit of Thanksgiving this year. Since everybody seems to have a lot. It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
