Does Barack Obama Celebrate Christmas

  1. I don't believe President-elect Barack Obama is the Anti-Christ or a devout Muslim like some people say. I'm not going to the extreme with my distrust of him, but I'm not blind either. His Christian faith is weak and at it's infant stages at best.

Any mainstream Christian buys gifts at Christmas and celebrates Easter. I know someone is going to say buying gifts has nothing to do with the Christian faith itself. My question to them is "what are you doing on Christmas Day?" Once again he has left a simple answer up to one's interpretation. Just like he did about same-sex marriage. He just played on words again. Left his supporters arguing with those who don't agree. "Civil Unions" is just another name for marriage.

I think Barack Obama is like a lot of young succesful black men in America. Their faith is in their jobs. The women are the ones with the deep spiritual roots. He joined "Trinity United Christian Church" in Chicago because it was politically advantageous. Brothers like him. They stay at home on Sunday and watch football games. Other than on special occasions like weddings and baptisms he isn't really commited to a religion one way or the other.

I'm not to hung up on his religious beliefs. As I stated before I didnt vote for him but I hope his term is a successful one

I don't believe he is a muslim or the anti-christ he is just vague with his answers. It's probably his way of not outright alienating a set type of person with certain beliefs.

He is doing what all politicans do, not directly answer the questions and side stepping them.

Actually, it doesn't matter whether Obama celebrates Christmas or Easter because neither holiday is authorized in the Bible. The roots of each holiday are in the Catholic Church.

I give gifts on December 25; I may (or may not) buy a new dress or suit to wear on Easter. No matter what I do, it is based upon American tradition and not thus saith the Lord.

For the past few years, I have witnessed all of the nonsense about "Merry Christmas" versus "Happy Holidays." I said "Happy Holidays" before it became politically incorrect to do so, and I will continue to do so. I don't always know what people celebrate, so "Happy Holidays" is appropriate. It is also hypocritical for people to proclaim Christmas as a religious holiday, but when Christmas fell on Sunday a few years back, they either stayed at home or went to a church that cancelled their services. I went to church like I do every Sunday -- and that's something that IS authorized in the Bible.
