Holding Hands In Darkness

I wish I was as excited as everybody else about yesterday's Presidential election. It goes without saying I'm happy about the fact that a black man was elected to the highest office in the land. I just wish it was another one, or at least one with different political views than Barack Obama. I would like to see blacks and whites get excited about this country regardless who was in charge. Americans have been blessed these past eight years. In my humble opinion history will prove George W. Bush is much better than his ratings indicate right now. Over 100 thousand people of all races and backgrounds celebrated the historical event last night. I have never seen so many men crying. I hope this spirit of submission will carry over to their daily lives. It will be interesting to hear what these people will be saying two years from now. The honeymoon will soon come to an end. Right now they're holding hands in darkness.

  1. I was alseep when they announced on CNN and elsewhere that Obama passed the 270 electoral votes needed. However, I did wake up Wednesday, early morning around 4am and saw that he won. I wish his entire family much success being in the White House and hope that education and all other issues get solved to a reasonable solution. God Bless.

It couldn't be any worse than it already is now. All these people who were against Barack Obama are quiet now.
