Mayor Larry Langford of Birmingham Ala. has been indicted with 101 counts of corruption. Does greed and power make you stupid? Since millions of dollars were involved in the bond arrangements. Did he think a couple of hundred thousand dollars would get lost in the paperwork? This guy won't get off with a wake-up call. This is it for him. The FBI have been watching him for quite a while. He doesn't have the advantage of having people under him to take the blame. He is a small fish caught up in a big wave.Read the story:

It seems politicians in general are pretty greedy. It seems the more a politician is worth the more greedy they become.
Look at our US Senators and Congressman, their salaries are about 192K a year but that's not enough for most. Most of them are fairly wealthy before even going into politics.

I am seriously disenfranchized with the entire political process and the people who are elected. Neither side in Congress can get along and will not work or talk to the other side. I dont belive any of them and trust none of them.
Pretty much the only ones who run and get elected are all fairly wealthy people. It seems IMHO they want to be elcted not to help their community or country but to enrich themselves with wealth and power.
That's the problem here. Instead of performing their duties in an ethical manner. Black politicians are trying to make up for lost time. Once they get in charge they think they can get away with anything. This man is facing 101 charges. He was doing something wrong. It looks like he was trying to catch up with the corrupt white politicians by any means necessary.
I didn't want to bash him or make those type of remarks based solely on his race since I'm white.
Is there just as many politicans who are white that are on the take, absolutely. We tend to hear more about balck politicains in the South since of course they usually make up the majortity.
It seems alot of Polticians have ethics problems, that may not be illegal but they appear to border on it. I assume that to reach the national level of politics you meet alot of aquaintences you know who you most liely owe favors to in one way or another.
