Kudos To Chris Wallace

Finally someone in the media has gone against the grain and present trend of embellishment, and stated the the plain and simple truth. At some point during this present administration. It became an acceptable practice to take potshots at Republicans and Conservatives with no logic or proof whatsoever. Journalist are no longer required to state the truth or even state the obvious. They just stretch the truth to make it say whatever they want.

Chris Wallace has taken it upon himself to go against the Hollywood crowd and speak up for the truth. At the private screening of the movie (Nixon/Frost) directed by Ron Howard of "Happy Days" fame. Howard in a speech to a couple of hundred viewers compared Richard Nixon's actions to that of George W. Bush. One doesn't even remotely compare to the other.

Chris Wallace had the courage to point it out."I think to compare what Nixon did, and the abuses of power for pure political self-preservation, to George W. Bush trying to protect this country -- even if you disagree with rendition or waterboarding -- it seems to me is both a gross misreading of history both then and now," Mr. Wallace said.

I've alwasy had a prolem with Hollywood and their politics. I hear all the time, "well they are exercising their freedom of speech, you can do it to"

While that is true, but there is a major difference. I don't have the opportunity to have millions of people listen to what I have to say or to influence anybody in anyway.

It's one thing to exercise you freedom of speech in politics by openly saying how you support a paerticular candidate. It's quite another to openly blast, critisize and disrespect a sitting US President.

These Hollywood types have their right but for those that openly disrespect the POTUS like they do I have refused to ever pay for or a rent a movie in which they are a part of.

Now for the record I'm not to fond of alot of things President Bush has done or not done. He still should at least command the respect his position deserves and for the extremely difficult job he has had to perform.

Also, I have the same feeling for when Obama is POTUS. If the few Hollywood crowd who are actually Republicans openly disrespect Obama I will feel the same way as I do about Bush.
