He Knew It Was Coming

In my opinion John Calipari and R.C. Johnson have pulled off the college coaching caper of the century. They took the Memphis fans and boosters on a roller coaster ride even though they knew this indictment was down the road. Just suppose he hadn't took the job at Kentucky? We would still be on the hook for his new multi-million dollar contract R.C. Johnson was trying to sell the people.. I have been critical of John Calipari's tenure from the beginning. The school gave him an open checkbook and he still didn't come through. When everybody was so high on him and the team. I talked about my reservations then: http://indepcons.blogspot.com/2008/04/blank-check.html

This is one time I wish I had been wrong with my predictions but I knew it was just a matter of time. My brother for one is to say the least heartbroken about this whole thing. Waders won't work anymore they're in up to their elbows. This city bought into this program hook, line and sinker without any reservations. He still had people defending his poor coaching ability that lost the NCAA championship in 2008. Now we have these allegations and the possibility of having that whole season struck from the record. How will they explain this?

I just can't get beyond all the people in the know being in on the secret. Even the president of the university was part of the scheme It adds credence to my presumption that we were being shafted all the time. It all makes perfect sense to me now. He was getting out while the getting was good. http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=18936043&postID=7965122550070458674. This is nothing new for John Calipari. . His stay at UMass ended pretty much the same. He left town on the first thing smoking. This might have been a surprise to a lot of people but not to Calipari. He knew it was coming.
