Jesse Jackson is shedding some light on the behind-the-scenes thoughts of Michael Jackson's family in the days following the singer's death, hinting that the Jackson family believes Michael's doctor knows more about the King of Pop's death than he's leading on.
Speaking with CNN on Saturday afternoon, Jackson (who's of no relation to the Jackson family he's discussing) said that "They [the Jacksons] didn't know the doctor. ... He should have met with the family, given them comfort on the last hours of their son."

The doctor he's referring to is Conrad Murray, who the Los Angeles Police Department plans on meeting with, according to TMZ. Murray is believed to have been with Jackson at the time his health took a turn for the worse. The doctor's car was later towed away by police, who were searching for possible evidence related to Jackson's death.
"The doctor's bizarre behavior here is creating all these suspicions ... 'How long had he stopped breathing? How long had he been unconscious?'" Jackson said during the interview.
Murray's lawyer Ed Chernoff tells the Houston Chronicle that his client "intends to cooperate. He has nothing to hide. He is going to help them in any way he can with their investigation." Chernoff adds that "this is an investigation into the death, that it’s not a murder investigation and that Dr. Murray is not a suspect in any way."

According to Jackson, Michael's family may seek an independent investigation into the death.
"At this point it [the investigation] is very incomplete. They need an independent autopsy to get even more answers to questions that are now being driven by the gap between when Michael was last seen alive and [when] he was pronounced dead day before yesterday."
The family is naturally having a tough time dealing with the loss, according to Jackson, who met with them on Friday.
"I talked with Mrs. Jackson and with the father, Joe, and she could not fight back the tears. She said, 'My baby is gone. Michael was such a good son. I loved him so much. I miss my baby,'"
Jackson was pronounced dead on Thursday afternoon after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home. His autopsy results were deferred on Friday, so an official cause of death won't be known until up to eight weeks.
