At first I was wondering why in the world would Jerry Lawler be entering in the Mayor's race? He is like the protest candidate who is in every race. He really has no chance of winning but he'll draw attention. This might be the straw that broke the camel's back though. The Mayor announced he was delaying his resignation until the end of the month. Everybody with any name recognition at all is getting in this race. Lawler's main business is Wrestling and fireworks. We have a couple of months before our next holiday and Wrestling isn't real popular these days. Jerry Lawler is like the local P.T. Barnum. He is just getting free advertisement for both his businesses

Other bloggers say who they are (post their real names), why don't you?

Your readers. What do you have to hide?

  4. Someone posting as Anonymous wanting to know my given name. Sort of hypocritical wouldn't you say? Since I don't know your name; what do you have to hide? As long as I have been blogging I haven't been asked that question before. Probably because my readers are generally a smart crowd. They don't major in the minor. About my name though, it's none of your business unless you're wrting me a check. What does my name have to do with my posts? Anybody important already knows who I am or they're not losing any sleep. I'm not hard to find. You must be lost. This isn't Facebook or Myspace. I'm not looking for a date.

JACKSON, Tenn. — Professional wrestler Brian Christopher Lawler pleaded guilty in Jackson City Court on Monday to a charge of public intoxication.

The 37-year-old from Lakeland is the son of the famous wrestler Jerry "The King" Lawler.

The Jackson Sun newspaper quotes a police report that states officers were called to a Circle K store at about 2:45 a.m. on Friday where they found Brian Lawler unsteady on his feet and slurring his words.

The report states he told an arresting officer he was going to rip off the officer's head once the handcuffs were off.

Lawler was fined $50 plus court costs. He must choose between serving 30 days in jail or 30 days at an inpatient treatment center.
