Don't think these animations weren't directed at a  particular demographic. This was posted in the Huffington  Post which has millions of readers from all races and ethnicity. Karl Rove talked about how George W. Bush did a commercial in a predominately black district two  weeks prior to the election.  And doubled  the vote he got in the prior election.
