Conflict

One's perception is their reality. In  the words of the Chaka Kahn tune "what you feel is real." I don't  agree with Commissioner Brooks most of the time. But when you hear her comments you have to consider the source. Henri Brooks is a sixty-five year old  career politician who needs controversy to remain relevant. She can't afford to take her fist down/.It's her bread and butter. She has never really had another.job in her life

Voters in Memphis like a fighter. Even if they never win a bout. We deal with the same mindset on the Memphis City Council on every issue. Especially one council member in particular.  They say things like this  everyday.  Just no one calls them out. Race baiting is third on their list of priorities. But lately the struggle has been updated. Now it's homosexuals and employee unions. Politicians are hiding behind the wall of pc protection. No one  with political aspirations would dare go after either of them  But look at the age of her supporters.  It looks like an AARP convention. Henri Brooks is a senior soldier in an age old conflict.
