My prayers go out to his family.

I at least understand somewhat of what he went through as I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer 4 1/2 years ago. I was one of the lucky ones or at least so far.

Thanks....I appriciate the time you take in writing. I look to all sources for news and youer site gives me info I would not otherwise probably see.

I'm not that familiar with the inner workings of Memphis Government. For one I live in Bartlett and moved back here in 2005 after being gone for 22 years, alot has changed.

    Wow...

Tim Russert AND Tony Snow both gone in a month.

I was really hoping he'd make it this time. I have colon cancer in my family, too, so I have had colonoscopies although I am in my thirties.

Perhaps Snow's death will bring more attention to colon health. Russert's death seems to have had that affect on heart disease.

Hopefully this will, Coloon cancer is I believe the 2nd leading casue of death behind Lung Cancer as far as cancer goes.

Colon Cancer is so deadly becasue there are normally no symptoms until it has significantly progressed. By the time they find it, the cancer has alredy spread to Lymph Nodes, the Liver/Lungs and surrounding tissue.

Colon Cnacer normally takes years to develop so early screening can have a huge impact oon prevention and survival rates
