It's Still Wet

In his first state of the union address the president did what he does best. Barack Obama gave a good speech filled with sweeping promises and good vibrations. He has proven to be particularly adept at that already. I saw hints of what seemed like moments in a Hollywood movie but that's politics these days. You can't get elected if you don't look good in front of the camera.

I have some idea of what this administration is trying to accomplish. I still don't agree though. How do you have a ten year plan for a four year term? It still hasn't been explained how you can spend your way out of debt. Fox political analyst Britt Hume saw it the same way I did. The president is doing an awful lot of gambling. The proposals though not clearly defined are ambitious to say the least. The foundation that is being laid for the future might have too much sand in the mix. Let's hope it doesn't start to rain. We might end up with loads of concrete on our hands.
