Misleading



This picture is a prime example of what's been happening to Frayser in the media. This is the picture posted on Wikipedia. If someone who had never been to Memphis put Frayser in their search engine, this is the picture they would see. If whoever took the picture had went beyond the trees they would've got a totally different impression. As someone who is familiar with the area I can honestly say " This picture like recent news articles are misleading."

This Commercial Appeal article and it's responses didn't stay online but a few hours so I posted it here:

How refreshing to hear some good news from Frayser about Hilliard and Harriet Crews' donation of $1 million to the University of Memphis (Feb. 2 article). Many of us who grew up in the Frayser community 50 years ago remember a peaceful place with strong family values. The Crews' philanthropy is a stark contrast with what, unfortunately, has characterized Frayser in the news recently.
