The situation surrounding the sanitation workers has just been put off for a later date. Nothing will change in spite of the promises made by Janis Fullilove and the other members of the council. The proposed buyout is a sham. It's a trick to get the incumbent city councilman reelected that will never come to past. The city can't even submit a balanced budget. They still have to pay the schools $57M ordered by the court. We don't have the money for what I consider "reparations." It wouldn't be fair to offer a buyout now. The overwhelming majority of the guys working now never had to say " I am a man."
