The weather subsided long enough on last evening for Aretha Franklin to grace the city with her one of her seldom seen performances. The fact that she doesn't fly the friendly skies severely encumbers the possibility that you might get to see her perform live. There are only so many performances she can give in Detroit and the surrounding areas. Obviously she hadn't been here in a very long time. Mayor Herenton presented her with the key to the city.
