Love D.O.A.
I don't know the whole story here. We're just getting bits and pieces, and adding the rest as we go along. Chauncy Jones has confessed to the murder, and Pat Malone is dead. We may never get the whole deal on what exactly happened. At first the story was that she was pregnant. And she was trying to get money for an abortion. That didn't sound right, since they had only been dating a couple of weeks. Even a gold digger doesn't work that fast. Unless they have a straight up trick. She didn't give him a chance to get caught up in the mix. It looks like she made her move too soon. Whatever they were doing, ended up with her getting three bullets in the head.

This story is going to make some men and women think twice (or three times) about their actions.
She already had five children. I don't think she was playing him. I detect a victim here.
There was a victim alright. Both of them were victimized. One just lost their life. She thought she had a mark, but he caught her by surprise. Nobody ever thought he would react this way. She thought he was just going to give her the money and that would be that.
Ms. Malone had probably already told his wife. At least the wife already knew about her. Chauncy Jones was just trying to hold his home together and didn't know how. The wife is letting him back in the house, because he did what she told him to do. "Handle your business. I don't care what you do. Make it disappear."
Somebody said she had A.I.D.S
In brief: Officer-suspect fired by police
Thursday, September 18, 2008
A Memphis police officer charged last week with shooting a woman to death was fired Wednesday following an administrative hearing.
Chancy K. Jones, 37, an officer for three years, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 31-year-old Phyllis Malone, who was found dead in her car on Sept. 9 near a combination Shell station and Back Yard Burgers at 1709 Whitten. Police said they had been dating in recent weeks.
Jones, who had been assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division Raines Station, is free on $200,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 2.
I know it's cold the way he shot her. But we don't know what she did to him.
