Democrats 50 / Republicans 49 / Independents ?

There may be light at the end of the tunnel after-all. The Democrats may not have swept both the house and senate. Joseph Lieberman who didn't get the nomination for the Democratic party. He was reelected to his Senate seat, as an Independent candidate. The one he has held since 1988, as a Democrat. His centrist views are what loss the nomination for him, to begin with. He has said he would caucus with the Democrats in the Senate, unless he was made to feel uncomfortable. What exactly does that mean? Based on the events that lead up to him being an Independent. You can almost rest assured that's going to happen. Obviously there was some differences. They mounted a successful campaign within the party against him. Unless he is willing to change his stances,or the party is willing to change theirs. Which I don't think is likely to happen. They both have track records, of being the way they are. I think we are in for an even split, in this 110th Congressional Senate.
