Damaged Goods

I don't approve of the image Kim Kardashian has come to represent. I just think the girl is all natural and
super attractive.  On a scale of 1-10. She is a 8 1/2 or 9 in my book. Unfortunately she has been tagged as a goldigger who has made her rounds among black pro athletes. But I'm not so sure she has earned that title though. Unless you count the money her father made off them as a lawyer.I only heard about her and Ray J (her biggest mistake) and Reggie Bush. Ray J is "Brandy's" little brother not even a baller and then she was with Reggie Bush until earlier this year. Both of whom I bet are now somewhere thinking about "the one who got away".

Kim is trying to reach heights no white woman has ever reached before. She is trying to maintain respectability after openly sleeping with a black man. Pamela Anderson and Paris Hilton reputations are still in tact. Neither of them to my knowledge have been accused of that. They both could realistically go out and marry a  white man tomorrow wealthier than themselves.  Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez can't do that. .As rich and beautiful as they are no high profile white guy will marry them. I'm just saying if Heidi Klum and Seal separated he wouldn't have to worry about Justin Timberlake coming around his ex-wife. .Though I personally don't agree. No matter how big her diamond is she'll still be considered as damaged goods.

President's Speech

His Son

Below is a letter supposedly written by Omar Bin Laden, fourth eldest son of Osama Bin Laden:

The letter said, in part: "We hold the American President (Barack) Obama legally responsible to clarify the fate of our father, Osama bin Laden, for it is unacceptable, humanely and religiously, to dispose of a person with such importance and status among his people, by throwing his body into the sea in that way, which demeans and humiliates his family and his supporters and which challenges religious provisions and feelings of hundreds of millions of Muslims."

The letter said the U.S. administration had offered no proof to back up its account of the mission. It alleged the goal of the raid had been to kill and not arrest, adding that afterwards the American commandos had "rushed to dispose of the body."

I don't understand the sudden concern for the rights of terrorist. Since we didn't close Guantanamo Bay we need to send them prisoners. Now that we've killed his father. Do we have to go after his son?

Mighty Real

From the first time I saw this young man performing I was always waiting for Jacob Lusk to break out with an old Sylvester tune. Since he ended up going home anyway, he might as well as have let it out. It was evident his image had been discussed off camera. I think that's why he refused to sing "Sexual Healing" during Motown week.

Though the issue was never mentioned. Jacob's softer side was screaming through. He had the same thing working against him as Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert. Who both were vocally more talented than those who beat them. The winner of the contest is voter driven. Based on previous experience,America won't vote for someone even thought to be gay. Nonetheless I would love to hear him sing "You make me feel mighty real.

Long Overdue

I am glad NeNe Leakes is finally gone. I didn't really care for Star Jones but I liked NeNe even less. I wasn't fooled by her sudden departure either. It wasn't her feud with Star Jones but the possibility of one with John Rich that made her leave. She knew he wasn't going to be intimidated by her like the ladies were. This is the problem I have with black women competing head to head with white males. They always end up being exploited. Ultimately the same thing sent them both home. Disagreements with guess who?

NeNe's fans call her real but she is just a big bully. To some as long as she was loud talking other sisters she was entertaining. Now she has got on their nerves too. I don't blame her for taking advantage of her fifteen minutes of fame. I just don't like what she represents. She is usually the biggest and always the loudest woman in the room. The first sign of a real challenge she left the scene. Dionne Warwick had her pegged several shows back. Her departure from the show was long overdue.

HIding Behind That Hat

I can;t help but wonder what John Rich looks like without  that ten gallon cowboy hat he wears. I know it's supposed to be part of his image and all, but for some reason I view him like l do Brett Micheals. Since I saw Michaels wearing his head scarf while supposedly fighting for his life in ICU.  Now I know he has something to hide. I could take him more serious if he wasn't hiding behind that hat.

Making $1000 A Day

The question was asked yesterday "would you pick cotton for a $1000 a day"?  With record unemployment like we  have now. I think they would have lines a mile long for that much a week. Lots of people say they wouldn't for whatever reasons. I ask them why not? Most Hub employees at FedEx don' t make that in a month. They work rain, sleet or snow. Even those with what would be considered very good jobs, do them for far less. What machinist or steelworker earns $5000 a week? You can't get an education that garners that type of pay.

I know it's easier said than done. I have never chopped or picked one boll myself. I know it sounds like  a bad dream to those who have  seen the monkeys dancing. It only brings back memories of long hot days and very little if any pay. And even then sometimes you owed all you earned to the company store. The fact of the matter is a lot of people made a lot of money off the cotton trade. .It was like the cocaine (cash crop) of the south. That's the difference in blacks and all other minority groups. They would pass up $60,000 yr. in a job that called for overhauls to make $30,000 wearing a suit. If the promise had been kept back in 1865
to give all black farmers, forty acres and a mule  that  they kept.. Today we might  really be looking at some cotton pickers making $1000 a day.

Take a look at  the highest paying jobs. They don't pay $1000 a day:

The top 24 according to the U.S. Department of Labor:

Surgeon: $181,850
Anesthesiologist: $174,610

Make A Difference

When I look at this "birther" issue I am reminded of a pastor who told one of his members in regards to Sen. Barack O'Bama at that  time. "I don't mean any harm but you are not big enough, rich enough or important enough to make a difference." At that time I thought that was cruel and ingenious. Since the members protest was based on his Christian principles and scripture exhorted by the pastor himself. After being isolated and even ridiculed myself for those same beliefs. Now I see that he was only telling him the painful truth.

The president's star appeal has steamrolled right over anything in his way. This same issue has had lesser opponents labeled as being racist or crazy. It basically ruined attorney Orly Tatz's career. The Republicans and even the Tea party turned on her. Others like Herman Cain and Allen Keyes have all but been ignored. Donald Trump gave a dead issue new life. President O'Bama felt the need to address this himself. So let's not pretend Donald Trump doesn't have the country's attention. He has the number #1 television show in the country. He might be big and rich enough to make a difference.
