She Got Them Both From Her Momma

I don't understand the dislike America has developed for anything with the last name Palin. To the contrary I am impressed with most of what I've seen. The average woman should be able to find some level on which they can identify with them both. Whether successful or having made a mistake. I think the roots can be found somewhere in jealousy. They represent the kind of woman the average woman wouldn't mind being and the average man wouldn't mind having.

I watched Bristol on DWTS and she consistently got better as the weeks passed. Before it was over she became a joy to watch. If there was anything out of order it was Jennifer Beal. I would consider her a semi-professional going against amateurs. As time went on two things were obvious. Bristol's critics couldn't be swayed and she has a beautiful set of legs. She got them both from her momma.

Time Will Tell

The season is just starting and Tiger fans think they will be alright without him, but let's hope they continue to win. Jalen Kendrick is expendable right now. The University Of Memphis fan is a funny group. They applaud Josh Pastner's position as long as it doesn't cost them anything. Whether it does or not time will tell.

In That Net

Shelby County Clerk Debbie Stamson discussed indictments of employees in the clerk's office in April with Deputy County Atty. Danny Presley. The two have refused to release the name of a state representative who, according to an investigative report, paid a clerk to avoid the mandatory auto emission inspection.

The content of this conversation is on the minds of many. The word "state representative"stretches from Steve Cohen to the late Ulysses Jones The trap that caught Councilwoman Swearengen Ware wasn't set in recent history. There are a lot of others in that net.

Ulysses Jones (1951-2010)

I seldom agreed with his politics, but he was a formidable adversary. He was a dyed in the wool Democrat no matter what, and that never changed . It was always about black and white with him. Especially in front of his black constituents. Obviously many of them agreed. They reelected him repeatedly for the last twenty-three years.
He was automatically against anything identified as Conservative.
But we have some of the same friends and ended up in some of the same forums politically. RIP my good man.

Done Deal

According to most insiders,John Boehner is the next speaker of the house. Not so quick though. There are rumors that Eric Cantor might be challenging him for that spot. It might not be a done deal.

What The Party Needed

Republicans are going on and on about Marco Rubio's (R-FL) acceptance speech. They are hoping it can be elevated to the level of the speech given at the 2004 Democratic convention that catapulted Barack Obama into the presidency. That goal in itself may be stretching it but the other elements for change are there. Republicans have to shed the old, white, stuffed shirt image they now have. They need a young male candidate who can throw a football or go to the beach. A good looking wife and kids doesn't hurt either. The new senator elect from Florida fits the bill.

The Tea Party whose image may have been even worse than the Republicans, needed a fresh face to match their new found success. Hence we have newcomer Marco Rubio who really isn't a newcomer at all. A closer look reveals that he is a politician made for a time such as this. Though only thirty-nine yrs. old he has been building his resume for the last ten years. The Tea Party jumped on an already moving train in my opinion. He was a work in progress waiting on his chance to shine. The tea party just buffed him out. President Obama is often referred to as a rock star. He has been able to reach the young otherwise uninspired voter. Now the GOP has that candidate who has that same type appeal. He is just what the party needed.

She Was Cute

In case you wondered who Sandra Sullivan is, this is her picture. She is the newcomer that came in third in the 9th congressional race. Even though she didn't have a firm grasp of the issues, she still managed to get over 600 votes. I think it was because she was cute.

Not Much Change

This is a picture of Chastity Bono before and after her sex change. Remember the cute little girl that always came out at the end of the "Sonny and Cher Show"? If you want to see a difference you"ll have to,because in her latest undertaking there's not much change.
